Bunny

Well, after ten years it has finally happened: Leland caved and is letting me have a pet. My first choice would be a cat, but since he is never going to go along with that, I proposed a bunny. Partly inspired by Mary Blakley and her blog post about her kids and their bunnies.
Someone who lives a couple of streets away from us had baby bunnies (her rabbit did, not she herself, that would have been a miracle) and was giving them away, so we got one.
We are calling him Grijsje (there will be a test on how to pronounce that later) which is just Dutch for Little Grey. The kids love him (actually we are not sure if it is a boy or girl).

I was a little worried because our neighbors have a dog and right now the bunny is still small enough to fit through the fence when we let him out of his cage. But no worries, life can be peculiar some times. The neighbors (tiny) dog is scared to death of the bunny and jumps backward - barking loudly - every time the bunny makes a move. The bunny on the other hand, is completely unimpressed by the dog's wild running around and ferocious barking.

Unrelated topic: Monty had his birthday party this weekend, at the same indoor playground that we had Stoney's a couple of months ago.
