Atlantic tank wall

We had a lovely 4 day weekend here and we went to visit my parents in the Netherlands.
One of the things we did, was visit the dunes and a park that is there. Also in the park: part of the Atlantic tank wall.

The Nazis build a big concrete wall all along the coasts in Europe to stop a possible invasion by the allies. Fat lot of good that did. :-)
At some places the Atlantic tank wall still exist, because no one bothered to tear it down. Of course, these days it makes a great climbing object for kids like Stoney who see anything as an object that needs to be concurred.

Monty was not so keen on the wall, be seems to have the fear of heights that both his grandmothers have. So he only did some low to the ground climbing.

Luckily there was also some other entertainment for Monty. There is a big area with deer and goats which were much more Monty's cup of tea.
